Architecture must answer many questions and satisfy varios needs and wishes. Even when thee are carefully listed and secifically defined, the sum total still does not achieve the desired result. That can only be be attained by means of the architectural design which, however, is never objective or has a single meaning. The essence of any design is rooted in the fact that it could also be different.
The design of a school is possibly the most challenging example of an architect's thinking, it tries to incorporate an ideal world within the walls of the school. An ideal school is not only the realisation of objectives and norms; the correct interpretation of the school's spatial structure is also important. Our aim is to extend the topic beyond the school and to discuss how an architect thinks about a school and education.
